XoSoft

Many elderly and patient groups experience varying degrees of mobility impairment. Assistive devices play a crucial role in independent living.

XoSoft is a modular soft lower-limb exoskeleton to assist people with mobility impairments. It comprises ankle, knee and hip elements, and can be used individually or combined and used unilaterally or bilaterally. It aims to be easy and comfortable to wear, with a significant impact on the persons mobility and health, on their independence and quality of life.

User centered design is a core element of the XoSoft project. An iterative design process will be undertaken, whereby user requirements will drive technical innovations, and user feedback will inform design and prototype developments.
